Elecom Launches New 10-Gigabit Router for Businesses with 10Gbps Ports and Wi-Fi 7

Elecom Corporation will launch the 'WRC-BE100XS-BH,' a corporate-exclusive Wi-Fi 7 10-gigabit router, in early June. Equipped with 10Gbps ports for both INTERNET and LAN and supporting the Wi-Fi 7 6GHz band, it enables more comfortable use of high-speed internet services.

This high-speed Wi-Fi router is designed to fully unleash the performance of 10Gbps internet services. With 10Gbps INTERNET/LAN ports and support for the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard, it allows users to take full advantage of a 10-gigabit connection for everything from video streaming and online conferences to gaming. It also contributes to speeding up internal home or office networks.

Wi-Fi 7 expands the bandwidth available for wireless communication at one time from 160MHz to 320MHz, doubling the communication speed compared to Wi-Fi 6 (*on the 6GHz band only). Furthermore, in addition to the conventional 2.4GHz/5GHz bands, the 6GHz band is now available, freeing the connection from congestion caused by interference and enabling high-speed, stable communication. This particularly liberates users from communication interruptions caused by DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection) which occurred on the 5GHz band.

Moreover, Wi-Fi 7 supports MLO (Multi-Link Operation), which enables simultaneous data transmission and reception across multiple bands and channels for even faster data communication. Connection stability is improved even when multiple devices are used simultaneously, thanks to Multi-Resource Unit (Multi-RU) technology that enhances frequency utilization efficiency and Preamble Puncturing that avoids interference.

The router also supports Wi-Fi EasyMesh, allowing for the effective expansion of the Wi-Fi coverage area throughout a home or office by linking with compatible devices. High-speed roaming ensures smooth reconnection even when moving between rooms.

It supports IPv6 (IPoE) internet connections, which are less prone to congestion, and features a clean design with built-in antennas. The 'Beamforming Z' function ensures stable communication with compatible devices even at a distance.

Switching from an old router is easy with the 'Rakuraku Hikkoshi' (Easy Move) function, which copies the SSID and encryption key from an existing router with a single press of the WPS button, saving the hassle of reconfiguring each device.

On the security front, it supports the more robust 'WPA3 Personal' standard. It also includes 'Parental Controls' to protect children and a 'Guest SSID' function for visitors, allowing for secure and convenient Wi-Fi sharing. The firmware updates automatically to the latest version, ensuring the router is always secure.
