New Launch of Two 10G Multi-Gigabit Compatible Switches: Fanless & Space-Saving Design to Fully Utilize 10G Lines!

Elecom Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Koichi Iwami) will launch two new 10G multi-gigabit compatible switching hubs in early July. These hubs feature all ports supporting 10Gbps, a fanless design, and a space-saving form factor that allows for placement on desks.

These switching hubs, with all ports supporting 10Gbps, enable users to enjoy online games and streaming distribution more comfortably, compatible with 10G internet services. Two models are available: a 5-port and an 8-port version. In addition to a fanless design that minimizes noise even when installed in quiet offices or living rooms, they feature a space-saving design that makes them easy to place on desks. They support not only horizontal installation but also wall mounting and installation on metal surfaces using separately sold magnets. The heat-dissipating metal casing supports an operating environment temperature of 50°C and complies with VCCI Class B standards, suppressing noise interference to the surroundings. Furthermore, they are equipped with a loop detection function and power-saving features to support a comfortable network environment.

Compact Multi-Gigabit Switching Hub with All Ports Supporting 10Gbps

These are 5-port and 8-port switching hubs with all ports supporting 10Gbps, featuring a space-saving chassis that allows for desk placement. They enable stress-free enjoyment of 10G line adoption, large-capacity data transfers with 10G compatible NAS/PCs, game downloads, and online gaming (※).

These are highly reliable switching hubs with a long-life design achieved by using polymer aluminum solid electrolytic capacitors on the main circuit board.

※This is a theoretical maximum value and does not indicate actual transfer speeds. Also, to communicate at 10Gbps/5Gbps/2.5Gbps, the connected LAN cable and equipment must both support 10GBASE-T (Cat6A or higher)/5GBASE-T (Cat6 or higher)/2.5GBASE-T (Cat5e or higher).

Fanless & Metal Casing Model Achieving Both Quietness and Heat Resistance

The fanless design eliminates noise, making it recommended for use in homes and offices where quietness is prioritized.

In addition to adopting a metal case with excellent heat dissipation, it achieves an "operating environment temperature of 50°C," allowing for safe use even in high-temperature environments.

Design for Safe and Flexible Installation

They can be placed flat on horizontal surfaces such as desks and shelves, or mounted on walls using the screw holes on the bottom (※).

By attaching the separately sold Hub Option Magnet (EHB-EX-MG4), installation on metal surfaces is also possible.

The AC adapter uses a tracking-resistant power plug. This prevents tracking phenomena even when installed for long periods.

By attaching the included power cable retention band to the band attachment part on the back of the main unit, the cable of the dedicated AC adapter can be secured to the unit.

Equipped with Loop Detection Function and "Easy Power Saving E Function"

Features a loop detection function. The blinking of the LED lamp indicates the occurrence of a network loop, prompting the resolution of network failures. The loop detection function can be turned ON/OFF with a switch on the front (※).

Supports the "Easy Power Saving E Function," which automatically saves power with compatible switches and terminals supporting IEEE802.3az (EEE standard) without any hassle. Significant power savings can be achieved in environments where PCs are shut down.

The "Easy Power Saving E Function" allows for power savings of up to approximately 67% for the 5-port model and up to approximately 70% for the 8-port model.

[Measurement Method]: Data is transferred from a load machine to this product. Power consumption is compared 1 minute after full port communication and during non-communication.

※A restart of this product is required to switch ON/OFF.
