ELECOM Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President and CEO: Koichi Ishimi) announces its selection for the third consecutive year in the 'Reiwa 8 Fiscal Year International Promotion of Medical Technologies and Other Initiatives'. This project is commissioned by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and implemented by the National Institute of Health Crisis Management.

ELECOM Group's purpose, 'Better being', reflects its commitment not only to creating high-quality products but also to contributing to a better society through its products, services, and actions. This initiative contributes to solving healthcare challenges through international medical collaboration, returning ELECOM's technological expertise to society while strengthening local medical education infrastructure.
The selected project, 'Introduction of Simulation-Assisted Neonatal Resuscitation Training in Mongolia' (Year 3 / Final Year), will further promote the institutionalization and regional expansion of neonatal resuscitation training in Mongolia using the neonatal resuscitation simulation training device developed by ELECOM through industry-academia collaboration.

Past Achievements
The project has focused on building a sustainable instructor training system to continuously expand neonatal resuscitation training across Mongolia. Training sessions were conducted by Japanese experts on-site, and Mongolian neonatologists were invited to Japan for training, resulting in the development of 14 master trainers capable of training instructors locally. Additionally, through on-site training, 46 instructors were trained from neonatologists in the capital region and 21 provinces nationwide.
As a result, the 60 trained instructors have independently conducted training sessions, and as of February 2026, a total of 1,681 healthcare providers involved in childbirth have completed neonatal resuscitation training. These outcomes demonstrate that externally supported initiatives are now steadily expanding under local leadership in Mongolia.
Furthermore, updated neonatal resuscitation guidelines and training materials have been translated into Mongolian and officially approved by Mongolia's Ministry of Health.

Future Developments
In this final year, building on past achievements, the project will further solidify the training system within Mongolia, expand to regional hubs, standardize training materials and operations, and aim to establish a self-sustaining neonatal resuscitation training system.

Moving forward, ELECOM will continue to promote the international expansion of Japanese-developed medical education devices in collaboration with industry, academia, and government partners, contributing to solving global healthcare challenges.
Note 1: The 'International Promotion of Medical Technologies and Other Initiatives' aims to share Japan's knowledge and experience in healthcare systems and promote the international deployment of high-quality Japanese medical products and technologies tailored to partner countries' needs. The goal is to improve public and medical standards in partner countries, enhance Japan's credibility in the international community, and create a virtuous cycle benefiting both Japan and recipient nations.
