Liquid Introduces "IC Omakase Pack" with Facial Recognition for Shiga Bank's Identity Verification

Liquid, a company under the ELEMENTS Group, has begun providing the "IC Omakase Pack" feature of its online identity verification service, "LIQUID eKYC," to Shiga Bank for its online account opening service. This new method combines Public Personal Authentication (JPKI) with facial recognition to address the vulnerability of JPKI—where unauthorized applications could occur if a third party obtains both a My Number Card and its password—thereby realizing more robust identity verification.

With this implementation, Liquid provides optimal verification procedures tailored to each case through AI-driven automated judgment, assisting in operational efficiency by reducing the time required for identity verification reviews. "LIQUID eKYC" is a service that completes online identity verification for applications such as financial transaction verification, mobile phone contracts, second-hand goods purchasing, and real estate transactions. The ELEMENTS Group has recorded a total of approximately 150 million identity verifications. Liquid’s adoption in this instance is a testament to its long-standing operational track record and stable performance in identity verification for Shiga Bank’s Web account opening service.
