Contributing to the Realization of Sapporo's Zero Carbon City Through "Local Production and Consumption of Environmental Value Derived from Hokkaido" via Ennet EnneGreen®

Ennet Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroaki Taniguchi; hereinafter "Ennet"), in collaboration with Hokkaido Renewable Energy Aggregation Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido; Representative Directors: Takatoshi Matsumoto and Takehiro Taguchi; hereinafter "Hokkaido Renewable Energy Aggri"), is working toward Sapporo's goal of becoming a "Zero Carbon City" by 2050. Using electricity and non-fossil certificates derived from the Hiragishi Hydroelectric Power Plant owned by Sapporo City and the Mega Solar Power Plant owned by Wakkanai City, Ennet will provide the Sapporo Convention Center with electricity that is effectively 100% renewable energy.

Based on the "Renewable Energy Power Business through Cooperation with Municipalities in Hokkaido" agreement between Sapporo and Wakkanai, the center is taking steps toward decarbonization and local energy consumption. This initiative enables the hosting of sustainable MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions/Events) activities. According to a March 2026 survey by Sapporo City, this is the first such instance of direct local renewable energy consumption for a MICE facility through municipal cooperation.

Ennet, a retail electricity provider invested in by NTT Anode Energy, Tokyo Gas, and Osaka Gas, will continue to support decarbonized management through services like EnneGreen, the AI-based Enneteye for energy saving, and the EnneSmart demand response service. This project is part of the NTT Group's GX solution brand, "NTT G×Inno."
