ERI Group's ERI Robotics Inc. (President: Takashi Fujimoto, Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as "ERI Robotics") signed the "Agreement on the Provision of Equipment and Materials during Large-Scale Disasters" with the Metropolitan Police Department Osaki Station on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
This agreement aims to utilize the drones and related equipment owned by ERI Robotics to grasp the disaster situation, search for individuals in need of rescue, and support rescue operations when large-scale disasters such as a direct earthquake hitting the capital or wind and flood damage occur.
Following the signing of the agreement, a joint training exercise simulating building collapse due to a large-scale disaster was conducted, in which ERI Robotics participated.
During the training, assuming the rescue of injured individuals trapped inside a collapsed building, ERI Robotics utilized its indoor inspection drone to confirm the situation inside the building. Based on the video information acquired from the drone, the location of the individuals in need of rescue and the entry routes for rescue teams were rapidly identified, contributing to the efficiency and safety improvement of rescue operations.
