Ericsson Japan, with SoftBank and Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, will host the robot education program 'H.E.R.O Lab' for students in grades 1-7 in 2026. The Fukuoka session is on July 4 at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, and the Osaka session is on July 11 at Osaka Business Park Crystal Tower.\n\nBased on Ericsson's global 'Connect to Learn: Digital Lab Program,' the workshop lets participants assemble and program robots to play a baseball game on a themed course, guided by mentors from Ericsson and SoftBank.\n\nEach venue has a capacity of 30 (free, lottery if oversubscribed). Applications close on July 3 for Fukuoka and July 10 for Osaka. Participants receive a pair of tickets to a Hawks game (30 pairs per venue): the July 4 game vs Chiba Lotte for Fukuoka, and the August 4 game vs Hokkaido Nippon-Ham for Osaka. Through this, Ericsson aims to foster future IT talent.
