Nagoya Kanko Hotel is a hotel that began its construction concept in 1928, proposed by the then-President of the Nagoya Rotary Club, who advocated for "building an international-class hotel in Nagoya," with the Nagoya Chamber of Commerce and Industry taking the lead. It opened on December 16, 1936. Subsequently, in December 1972, the new building commenced operations as an imposing international-class hotel, boasting the highest height in Nagoya at the time (81.5m). On December 16, 2026, it will celebrate its 90th anniversary.
