Since 2021, Kyoto Prefecture, which supports the 'WE Love Baby Project' promoted by Excite Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shinichi Saisho), has been jointly operating the 'WE Love Baby Project Support Vending Machines' with DYDO Drinco Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Kita-ku, Osaka; President and CEO: Takanori Nakajima). We are pleased to announce that the number of installed vending machines has expanded from the initial 4 units to 20.

More than half of these vending machines allow parenting customers to purchase baby diapers (2-piece mini packs) and wipes together with drinks, eliminating concerns about running out of diapers while外出. This represents a groundbreaking innovation in vending machine services.

Expansion across Kyoto Prefecture since May 2024

In May 2024, as the first initiative under the collaboration agreement between Kyoto Prefecture and DYDO Drinco, vending machines were installed at Ion Mall KYOTO. Since then, installations have expanded to prefectural parks, sports facilities, JR Kyoto Station, and post offices, with various wrapping designs introduced.

In addition to convenience, the adorable and friendly WE Love Baby design has attracted attention not only from local residents but also from visitors to Kyoto.

Kyoto Prefecture and DYDO Drinco Co., Ltd. signed a comprehensive regional revitalization partnership agreement on May 13, 2024, aiming to revitalize local communities and improve services for residents. As the first initiative under the 'Best Child-Rearing Environment in Japan – Kyoto' campaign, they launched the installation of 'WE Love Baby Project Support Vending Machines.' They continue to seek cooperation from facilities and companies willing to host these machines within Kyoto Prefecture.

DYDO Drinco aims to promote 'child-friendly community development' by expanding baby diaper vending machines and will further roll out original vending machines featuring the WE Love Baby branding to deliver the message of 'child-friendly workplaces' to businesses.

The 'WE Love Baby Project' is an initiative that visualizes the message, 'I warmly support you and your crying baby,' to caregivers who are desperately soothing their child in public spaces. By distributing stickers that convey the message 'It's okay to cry!', the project aims to foster a warm and supportive atmosphere for parenting families. Operated by Excite, it is an initiative striving to create a society that is kind to babies and their families. This year marks the 10th anniversary since its launch.
