The Japan Association for the 2027 International Horticultural Expo (Chairman: Yoshinobu Tsutsui; Location: Naka-ku, Yokohama) is advancing 'Traffic Demand Management (TDM)' initiatives targeting general traffic, in cooperation with Yokohama City and Kanagawa Prefecture. This effort aims to further smooth traffic during the expo, with the support of a wide range of stakeholders, including road and rail users, local businesses, and regional economic organizations. TDM is an initiative to adjust traffic 'demand' by dispersing travel times and routes to alleviate road and rail congestion. The outline of the 2nd GREEN×EXPO 2027 Traffic Smoothing Promotion Council is as follows: Date: June 11, 2026 (Thursday), 16:00-17:00 (scheduled). Venue: Yokohama City Hall, 31st Floor, Reception Room. Agenda (planned): TDM objectives, 'GREEN×EXPO 2027 TDM Partner' registration system, and an overview of TDM trials. The committee members include the secretariat (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and the Association). Meeting materials will be posted on the Yokohama City website after the meeting. Please note that public attendance is not permitted.
