'Washinmura' is a small glamping village with only 6 rooms, located in the satoyama (woodlands) of Futtsu, Chiba. On the grounds dotted with 200-year-old traditional houses, nagayamon (gatehouses), tents, and Jyuubako (mobile houses), we live together with 15 rescue cats, goats, dogs, silkie chickens, and other animals.

During the day, you can carry a woven basket on your back, climb slopes, and explore the forest. A traditional 'primitive experience' of playing with your whole body awaits you. At night, you can chat leisurely while watching the flames of a bonfire. It is a common sight at Washinmura to see a cat curled up and sleeping right next to you before you know it. We hope you can easily enjoy such a day in the satoyama.

─────────────── ⚠️ Regarding treats for the animals

Under the guidance of a veterinarian, to manage the physical condition of the cats, we ask that you refrain from bringing in store-bought treats as their contents are difficult to manage.

If you would like to give them treats, please purchase the treats sold at the Washinmura shop. *They are sold in limited quantities.

We carefully select treats that are additive-free and made from domestic ingredients. Thank you for your cooperation.

——————————————————

*The cats live freely on the premises. Please be careful if you have allergies.

*Because animals are fickle, we don't know which room they will visit, and they are not guaranteed to come.

*The cats and dogs at Washinmura are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and given tick prevention medication.
