The Japan Financial Education Support Organization, together with its title partner Japan Post Bank, is launching the '4th FES Contest® Supported by Japan Post Bank.'

The FES Contest is a cross-generational financial education project where university students participate in operations, and middle and high school students produce financial education videos for elementary school pupils.

As young people encounter more financial situations related to education, employment, consumption, contracts, and asset formation, this contest encourages them to take ownership of their financial learning and proactively think about society and their future by becoming the 'teachers' who create these educational videos.

In the 3rd contest, regional tournaments were held in 10 areas, attracting 897 entries and 1,349 participants from across Japan. This year, the organization targets 2,000 entries and 2,500 participants nationwide.

Regional tournaments will be held in 11 areas, with Tokyo and Kyoto newly added. Furthermore, the 'Road to FES Contest' workshop series will expand to 33 municipalities nationwide.

This year, the organization is collaborating with the University of Tsukuba, Kagawa University, Senshu University, Takushoku University, and IPU New Zealand/IPU Japan to promote learning environments that connect students, university students, and local communities.

Additionally, through the 'Mirai Project' in Yamanashi Prefecture and co-creation with Hachioji City, Tokyo, the organization is advancing new financial education models.

For the first time, an English-language online workshop will be held for university students, expanding collaborations with domestic and international university communities by creating opportunities to discuss financial education from a global perspective.

Entries selected through regional tournaments will advance to the national award ceremony held at KABUTO ONE Hall in Tokyo on November 28, 2026.
