Background of this Project

In recent years, while male participation in childcare is increasing, there are still few places where fathers can share their worries and experiences, leading to cases of isolation and anxiety. Furthermore, the risk of postpartum depression for fathers is reported to be about 11%, which is at a similar level to mothers, making fathers' mental health a critical social issue that affects the entire family.

Additionally, the weakening of community ties is widening the disparity in opportunities for children to gain diverse experiences and interact with others.

Three Pillars of this Project

This project will implement the following initiatives as a system for fathers to participate in childcare in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

1 Dad's Izakaya Community (Online)

We will operate a permanent community where fathers can easily connect and share tips and concerns about housework and childcare. The aim is to build lasting relationships and prevent "isolated parenting."

2 Parent-Child Participation "Mystery Solving Exploration Program"

We will hold experiential events twice a year where fathers and children cooperate to solve mysteries. This will foster children's independence and collaboration, as well as promote dialogue within the family.

3 Reskilling Course for Dads

We will hold practical courses on themes such as male parental leave, education costs, and partnerships. This will connect learning to behavioral change and support family stability.

Target Outcomes

Through this project, we aim for the following outcomes:

- Dad Community Participants: Approximately 100 people

- Event/Course Satisfaction: 90% or higher

- Participants who feel an increase in the sharing of housework/childcare and dialogue: 80% or higher

By encouraging continuous participation beyond one-off events, we aim to form and establish a community-based father's network.

Won't You Join Us??

This project is not just childcare support; it is a new support model that connects "family," "work," and "community." When fathers are involved in childcare with smiles, it stabilizes the family, supports children's growth, and builds the future of the community.

FJK will continue to aim for the realization of a society where everyone can raise children with peace of mind by increasing the number of "smiling dads."

We appreciate your cooperation.
