Limited Collection 'Moomin's Day 2026' Released

Moomin Arabia, a Finnish lifestyle brand under Fiskars Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), will release the limited collection 'Moomin's Day 2026' in limited quantities starting Saturday, August 8, 2026, to commemorate 'Moomin Day' on August 9, the birthday of Moomin's creator Tove Jansson.

To allow more people to enjoy the collection this year, sales will begin on August 8 (Saturday), one day before 'Moomin Day'. It will be sold in stores until August 16 (Sunday) and at the Moomin Arabia official online store until September 30 (Wednesday).

Conclusion of the 'Four Seasons of Moomin Valley' Series

This collection, which features Moomin Arabia's first-ever full-scale theme of 'autumn,' is the final Moomin mug design by Tove Slotte, who served as a 'Moomin mug illustrator' for over 30 years. As the work that concludes the 'Four Seasons of Moomin Valley' series, which has been ongoing since 2018, it depicts the scene of Moomin Valley dyed in autumn colors with warm hues.

The 'Moomin's Day' series started in 2018 with the theme of 'summer,' followed by 'winter' in 2021 and 'spring' in 2024, and with this 'autumn,' the 'Four Seasons of Moomin Valley' is complete.

Background of the Design

'Moomin's Day 2026' depicts the scene of Moomin Valley in autumn, where strong winds blow through. It expresses the low-lying Nordic sun and the nature dyed in autumn colors with warm colors such as yellow, pink, orange, and amber.

The illustration is based on Tove Jansson's 1955 comic 'Moominland Winter.' It depicts the Moomins preparing for their annual hibernation, such as gathering hay for their beds and pine needles to fill their stomachs, before the autumn leaves cover the ground.
