In memory of the world-renowned R&B singer Peabo Bryson, whose passing was announced on June 2, FM Osaka will broadcast a special live program titled 'Peabo Bryson Forever – Thank You, Peabo Bryson' on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Peabo Bryson, one of America's most iconic R&B vocalists, released numerous duet hits with artists such as Natalie Cole, Roberta Flack, and Debbie Gibson. He achieved global acclaim through Disney theme songs, notably 'Beauty and the Beast' with Celine Dion and 'A Whole New World' with Regina Belle, winning both Grammy and Academy Awards in consecutive years. Revered as the 'King of Duets,' he shared a deep connection with FM Osaka, having performed 16 times at the Hankyu Sanbangai original live series 'Dream Live' since 2000, co-producing around 30 concerts.

The special program will feature his classic hits from the 1970s to mid-1980s, breakthrough duets, beloved movie themes, and stories from his appearances on FM Osaka events. Tributes from artists including Anri, Tatsuya Ishii, Maki Ooguro, K, Koda Kumi, Yuki Koyanagi, Hitomi Shimatani, Keizo Nakanishi, Ayaka Hirahara, Tetsuya Bessho, and Tamao Yaida will be aired. The show will be hosted by Shoji Suzuki.

Over the course of three hours, the program will honor Peabo Bryson’s legacy, celebrating his elegant, soaring vocals and his warm, playful personality cherished by fans and staff alike, through music and heartfelt messages.
