Forward Edge-AI Japan Inc. (FEAI-JP) announced it will speak at the Interop Tokyo Conference 2026, held from June 10-12 at Makuhari Messe. The session, titled "The Activation of PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography) in 2026," will take place on the final day, June 12.
With the advancement of practical quantum computers, the risk that widely used encryption methods like RSA and Elliptic Curve Cryptography could be broken in the future is growing. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the implementation status and migration strategies for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), a key countermeasure, covering aspects from hardware and systems to project management.
Background: The Quantum Threat Becomes a Reality
Since the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) officially published standard algorithms for PQC in 2024, the need to develop crypto-agility has become urgent in Japan, especially in critical infrastructure, finance, and healthcare. However, many in the industry are unsure where to begin. FEAI-JP decided to lead this session to bridge this practical gap.
