The Japan Frescoball Association (JFBA), a general incorporated association promoting the communication design sport "Frescoball" in Japan, announces that its public regional club, "Hiroshima Frescoball Club," will hold Frescoball experience sessions on July 26 (Sun) PM at Sunami Seaside Park and August 1 (Sat) AM at Bayside Beach Saka.
As Hiroshima Frescoball Club describes it as "Hooked in just 5 minutes! A new sensation beach sport experience," Frescoball, a beach sport originating from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a unique sport where players aim to continue rallies together rather than defeat their opponents. It originated on Copacabana Beach in 1945 and has continued to fascinate many with its one-of-a-kind competitive characteristics.
Frescoball can be enjoyed "anytime, anywhere, with anyone" as long as you have a racket and a ball. The upcoming experience sessions are scheduled to take place on July 26 (Sun) from 1 PM to 2 PM at Sunami Seaside Park in Mihara City, and on August 1 (Sat) from 10 AM to 12 PM at Bayside Beach Saka (Mizujiri, Saka Town). Please feel free to join us, bringing comfortable clothing, a towel, and a drink.

What is "Frescoball, the communication design sport that travels"? Frescoball is a beach sport that originated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was conceived on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro in 1945 and is now enjoyed on beaches around the world. The most distinctive feature of Frescoball is that it is a scoring competition where two people facing each other cooperate to continue rallies, rather than compete. Matches are played with a distance of 7 meters maintained for 5 minutes. It is also called the "sport of consideration" due to the way players cooperate to continue rallies. JFBA has reached a basic agreement in October 2025 with the Rio de Janeiro Frescoball Federation (FEFERJ) to establish UAFI, the world's first international organization, aiming for the unification of international rules. Furthermore, JFBA is strengthening its promotion activities as a sport with high affinity for sports tourism, centered on Japan's unique Frescoball culture of "enjoying Frescoball year-round, as if traveling." Currently, 29 public regional clubs and 6 public student organizations are registered in Japan.
