The report, derived from their proprietary Medical Institution Master data, reveals a total of 128 new clinic and hospital openings alongside 267 closures or suspensions, predominantly in urban areas like Tokyo and Osaka. Furthermore, the total number of medical practitioners increased by 3,613, with part-time doctors accounting for the vast majority of this growth. The analysis also highlights shifts in specific medical departments, noting an increase in diabetes and psychiatry facilities while surgery and pediatrics saw declines.
