Japan AI Creative Contest (hereinafter 'JACC'), operated by FTG Company Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo, President: Makoto Morikawa), which operates 131 food and beverage businesses domestically and internationally including 'Osaka Yakiniku Hormone Futago', announces the results of the 'Mother's Day Charity AI Contest' hosted with the 'Japan Single Mother Support Association' as a charity partner, and an after-event report of the 'Single Mother Family Yakiniku Lunch Invitation Event' held as a linked project.
Approximately 150 warm 'Thank You to Mom AI Videos' were submitted to this contest. Linked to the number of applications, on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10, 2026, 10 single-mother families were invited to a yakiniku lunch at 'Osaka Yakiniku Hormone Futago Ikebukuro East Exit Store'.
Mother's Day Filled with Smiles and Tears. Yakiniku Invitation Event Report
On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10, 2026, a yakiniku lunch event was held at 'Osaka Yakiniku Hormone Futago Ikebukuro East Exit Store', inviting 10 pairs of parents and children selected by lottery from the members of the Japan Single Mother Support Association.
Mothers who struggle alone with work and childcare daily and rarely have the opportunity to eat out relaxingly. They were able to relax and enjoy delicious yakiniku with their children without the hassle of grilling the meat themselves, thanks to the unique 'Futago' style where the staff grills the meat.
Towards the end of the meal, creators who won the highest award in this AI contest presented carnations as a surprise to the participating mothers. Seeing unexpected words of daily gratitude and carnation gifts from their children, some mothers shed tears of emotion, and the store was filled with warm applause and smiles.

The best smiles from moms and children with delicious yakiniku. Since the staff grills the meat, moms can also take their time to enjoy the meal.
Voices of Participating Parents and Children (Excerpt from Interviews)
On the day of the event, we interviewed the participating parents and children while mixing in topics about the AI contest.

-- How was the meal?
'I thought it was a very wonderful project. When you are single, there is no one to do "what a dad would do", so even for Mother's Day or my own birthday, my daughter has to notice it or it won't be celebrated (laughs). I felt that way especially when she was young. But now, my daughter notices and celebrates for me. I think a project that serves as such a "catalyst" is really good. I love yakiniku, but I can't go often, so I decide to go "once every 3 months" or "once every half year". When I told her about winning today, my daughter was overjoyed!'
-- Do you use generative AI regularly?
'I use it for work. I edit images, do research, and sometimes consult about childcare. It answers me properly. When I say, "I want to cry", it replies, "It's okay to cry" (laughs).' (The child also said, 'I have it make pictures and consult about my favorite idols. Sometimes I use it for descriptive homework questions.')

-- How was the meal?
'Thank you for such a wonderful event.
Both parent and child were able to enjoy an all-you-can-drink yakiniku course that we rarely get to have.
The meat from rare parts that I had never even heard of was also very delicious, and it was a very valuable and grateful experience.
The store staff grilled the meat, explained things, took pictures, and provided full service, so I was deeply moved to spend such a fun time! And what a wonderful flower gift! I was so filled with feelings of gratitude and thankfulness that tears welled up.
I was so happy, had so much fun, and it was such a happy time having been given this opportunity that I don't know how to express my thanks. It became an unforgettable Mother's Day for the rest of my life. Thank you so, so much!'
-- How do you want your child to interact with AI in the future?
'I hope they don't rely too much on AI. Because it's convenient, I think there are times when the ability to think for oneself becomes weak. I want them to not swallow information whole, but to get along well with AI while valuing "thinking for oneself".'
