FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Naoki Hama) is pleased to announce that its A3 digital color multifunction printer "Apeos C5570 (Model-CPS-C-2TM)" for the U.S. market has been registered at the Bronze level under the newly revised "EPEAT 2.0" standard for 2025 by "EPEAT," the international environmental certification for electronic equipment. Furthermore, our company has been recognized as an "EPEAT 2.0 Launch Partner" for being an early adopter of "EPEAT 2.0."
"EPEAT" is an international environmental certification system operated by the U.S. non-profit organization Global Electronics Council® (GEC). It is widely used by companies, educational institutions, medical institutions, government agencies, and others worldwide as a selection criterion for electrical and electronic equipment products. "EPEAT 2.0," revised in December 2025, changes the framework from the "EPEAT 1.0" standard and consists of five criteria: "Climate Change Mitigation," "Sustainable Resource Use," "Management of Chemicals of Concern," "Supply Chain Management," and "Imaging Consumables." "EPEAT 2.0" expands requirements related to supply chain-wide response, environmental and social performance, as well as transparency and accountability. Within this, standards are established from the perspective of governance and information disclosure across the entire supply chain, such as codes of conduct for occupational safety and health and human rights, and compliance is assessed.
The "Apeos C5570 (Model-CPS-C-2TM)," registered at the EPEAT 2.0 Bronze level, incorporates environmental technologies that our company has actively pursued, and it meets the new design requirements for EPEAT 2.0, such as design for disassembly, use of recycled materials, and reduction of chemical substances, without any design changes.
Furthermore, the company's initiatives, including efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase the ratio of renewable energy at its facilities, and strengthen supply chain management and information disclosure, have led to its registration at the EPEAT 2.0 Bronze level. We will sequentially expand registration to other models in the same series. Moving forward, based on these initiatives, we aim to accelerate product development that contributes to reducing environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle in cooperation with our suppliers, and to contribute to solving societal environmental issues.
Under the FUJIFILM Group's CSR plan "Sustainable Value Plan 2030 (SVP2030)," which targets fiscal year 2030, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by strengthening our CSR foundation across the entire supply chain, including our response to climate change, promotion of resource circulation, and respect for human rights.
Our registered products can also be confirmed through the EPEAT Registry Search.
