Fuji Kyuko Co., Ltd. announced it will co-host the 'Mt.Fuji Yoga Festival' with the Embassy of India in Japan on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Hotel Mt. Fuji in Yamanakako Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. The event was initiated following a request from the Embassy of India to hold a yoga event at the foot of Mt. Fuji, a World Cultural Heritage site, as part of activities leading up to International Yoga Day on June 21. This will be the second time the festival is held at the hotel, following the 'Mt.Fuji Yoga Festival in Yamanashi' in 2024.

As Fuji Kyuko approaches its 100th anniversary in September 2026, the company is proposing a new wellness experience that combines authentic Indian yoga with elements of a hotel stay, such as hot springs and saunas, in the natural surroundings of Mt. Fuji.

The event will feature Ms. Kalpana, a dedicated yoga instructor from the Embassy of India in Japan. Participants will have the opportunity to experience authentic Indian yoga in an open-air location with a view of Mt. Fuji, providing a moment for both mental and physical rejuvenation. The event's appeal is enhanced by its location in the hotel's courtyard and the integrated value of combining the yoga session with nature walks and refreshment in the spa facilities.

Mt. Fuji Location Meets Authentic Indian Yoga The courtyard of Hotel Mt. Fuji offers a close-up view of the majestic mountain, creating a unique setting for yoga away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The event aims to provide a unique wellness experience by merging the yoga culture of India, its birthplace, with the spiritual culture of the Fuji Five Lakes area, symbolized by its rich nature and Mt. Fuji worship.

A 'Sacred Place for Yoga' for Fuji Kyuko's 100th Anniversary Looking toward its next century, Fuji Kyuko aims to create new experiential value by utilizing regional resources. A key part of this strategy is the vision to turn 'Hotel Mt. Fuji into a sacred place for yoga.' By combining the unparalleled location facing Mt. Fuji, the natural environment of Lake Yamanaka, accommodation with hot springs and saunas, and the authentic yoga experience offered in partnership with the Indian Embassy, the company plans to develop the hotel into a wellness hub for domestic and international yoga enthusiasts.

A New Proposal for Wellness Stays Future plans include not only regular yoga events but also the development of accommodation packages, wellness programs combining hot springs, saunas, and food, retreats with instructors from Japan and abroad, corporate stress management workshops, and long-stay programs for inbound tourists.
