Fuji-Q Highland (Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture), in cooperation with Tsubakimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) and Skybridge Inc. (Head Office: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), has newly introduced a cutting-edge automated flight drone inspection system for high-altitude track inspections of its large coaster attraction "FUJIYAMA", commencing operations yesterday, June 11, 2026 (Thursday).

This attraction boasts world-class specifications as a roller coaster, with a total length of 2,045m, a maximum height of 79m, and a top speed of 130km/h. Since its opening in 1996, it has provided thrills and excitement to many.

Traditionally, inspections of these super-high coasters were conducted through visual checks by specialized staff or high-altitude work involving the installation of scaffolding. While ensuring thorough safety measures, challenges included "reducing hazardous work" and "quantifying inspections." By implementing drone-based inspections, we aim to advance and streamline the inspection process through the utilization of image data and AI analysis. While prioritizing employee safety, we will strive to improve the efficiency and accuracy of maintenance operations.
