Rare 'Japanese-made Umbrellas' Gather in Shizuoka: 'Domestic Umbrella Fair' Starts June 1st at Party Rain Fujitaya

Party Rain Fujitaya, a specialty shop for umbrellas and rain goods operated by Fujitaya Co., Ltd., will host a 'Domestic Umbrella Fair' from June 1 to June 30, 2026. Currently, most umbrellas in Japan are imported, making domestic manufacturers and artisans increasingly rare. This fair showcases the appeal of these precious domestic umbrellas for both men and women. We have gathered products from six manufacturers outside the prefecture, including Maehara Kouei Shoten and Makita Shoten.
