Fukuoka University's Faculty of Pharmacy has been implementing an initiative since fiscal year 2025 where residents of UR housing complexes and students interact and learn together. As part of the course "Early Clinical Experience II" for second-year students, this activity includes health exercises that promote well-being, seasonal events, and recreational activities.
As the first activity of this fiscal year, in April, health exercises, conversation sessions, and tea gatherings with neighborhood associations were held at the community centers of Hodai, Hoshinohara, Kanayama, and Tsutsumi housing complexes.
On the day of the event, many people participated, and the activities proceeded in a relaxed atmosphere as participants moved their bodies and conversed with the students. For the students, it also served as a valuable opportunity to consider the nature of communication in an environment different from the classroom.
Interaction with the local community contributes to regional revitalization and provides a precious learning opportunity for the students. Throughout the year, we will continue to engage in various initiatives to deepen the learning of each student.
