Future Corporation (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tomohiko Taniguchi; hereinafter referred to as Future) is pleased to announce that it has obtained "Kurumin" certification, awarded by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a child-rearing support company under the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Children and Child-Rearing, in June 2026.
The "Kurumin" certification is a system that allows companies that have formulated an action plan based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Children and Child-Rearing and meet certain standards, such as achieving their planned goals, to receive certification as a "Child-Rearing Support Company" (Kurumin certification) from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare.
As a consulting group that solves social issues and designs the future, Future promotes DE&I with the aim of creating a society where diverse individuals can leverage their unique strengths and thrive, by actively embracing and respecting diversity. Together with its main operating company, Future Architect Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yohei Saito), we are enhancing support measures to enable employees to demonstrate their abilities as professionals.
We formulated a two-year action plan starting in 2023 for promoting the acquisition of annual paid leave and supporting women's careers, and implemented measures in various areas to achieve it. We strengthened internal announcements to promote the use of paid leave and made the acquisition status visible, achieving our target of a 70% paid leave acquisition rate. As career support measures, we held multiple group discussion sessions for all female employees to strengthen connections among employees, and focused on raising awareness of support systems at each life stage, including for employees with children, and creating opportunities to meet role models. Under a flat corporate culture, we are also focusing on developing female leaders who balance work and childcare. As an initiative to network female leaders, we are promoting activities to create communities where they can meet peers, mentors, and role models, including planning and operating inter-industry study groups and collaborating with external organizations.
Through these measures, we have achieved our planned goals and met certain standards for childcare leave acquisition rates and overtime hours, leading to this certification.
Our company promotes the concept of "Gradation Career Path" in career development, encouraging diverse individuals to forge their own careers through various challenges. Approximately 95% of our employees work under a "discretionary labor system" where performance is the evaluation standard. All employees can utilize remote work, allowing for flexible work styles and career choices that are not bound by time or location, according to their individual circumstances. By creating an environment where diverse individuals can thrive, we have achieved gender parity in our annual promotion rate, with men at 20.9% and women at 20.8%. Furthermore, the average annual childcare leave acquisition rate and number of days taken are 100% for women (378 days) and 77% for men (91 days), with male managers also actively taking childcare leave.
Future will continue to create new value for our customers' futures and for society by enabling each and every diverse individual to leverage their unique strengths and thrive.
