GAAAT to Host First Solo Exhibition in Japan by Zeen Chin, Artist Behind "League of Legends," at MIYASHITA PARK Starting July 10

GAAAT Inc. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yusuke Tokuhashi), an art brand that expands the expression and experience of IP content into new dimensions through the power of art and technology, will hold the first solo exhibition in Japan by Malaysian artist and concept artist Zeen Chin (ジーン・チン), titled "SKEEN: Kijin PUNK! ZEENCHIN JAPAN 1st POPUP SOLO EXHIBITION in TOKYO." The exhibition will take place at "GAAAT GALLERY" on the 3rd floor of MIYASHITA PARK South starting Friday, July 10, 2026.

In recent years, attention towards creators and artworks originating from Asia has been growing globally. Creators active in entertainment fields such as games, anime, and visual media are increasingly entering the art scene and gaining international recognition.

This exhibition marks the first solo show in Japan for Zeen Chin, who has garnered international acclaim for his unique dark fantasy works and has participated in game and visual projects including "League of Legends." Centered around his representative series "SKEEN (Kijin PUNK)," for which he has held solo exhibitions in China, Malaysia, and other locations, this will be the first time his works are exhibited and sold in Japan.

This project is realized through a co-hosting arrangement with GAF Illustration Art Fair, one of China's largest illustration art festivals, and with the cooperation of the global art platform ArtPage. Through this exhibition, GAAAT aims to create a new point of connection between Asian creators active worldwide and Japanese fans and collectors.

Zeen Chin: An Asian Creator Gaining Global Presence

Zeen Chin is an illustrator and concept artist from Malaysia. In addition to participating in game and visual projects such as "League of Legends," "Kingdom Death," "Chronos Gate," "Legend of the Cryptids," "Galaxy Saga," and "Green Snake," he is also actively engaged in creating original works.

He is known for his style of depicting motifs such as Eastern mythology, yokai, and Kijin (demi-gods) from a unique perspective. He has published art books including "RECHILD," "贰拾壹21," and "鬼神朋克 SKEEN." He has also been invited to international art events such as Croatia's "IFCC," Poland's "Promised Land Art Festival," and Germany's "PlayGround Art Festival."

Exhibition and Sale of 8 Original Artworks in Edition 1

This exhibition will feature and sell 8 selected works from his recent representative series, "SKEEN (Kijin PUNK)." The artworks will be available primarily in A2 and A3 sizes, and all will be sold as Edition 1. The planned sales prices range from 385,000 yen (tax included) to 770,000 yen (tax included).

"SKEEN (Kijin PUNK)" is a series that fuses Eastern motifs like Kijin and yokai with contemporary character design and pop culture sensibilities. The unique worldview, where elements of fear and cuteness, innocence and unease coexist, is Zeen Chin's signature expression that captivates fans both in Japan and abroad.

Why Now, Why Shibuya, Japan?

Japanese anime, games, and manga have become established global culture and have influenced many overseas creators. On the other hand, opportunities to directly experience original works by international creators are still limited within Japan. This exhibition, held in Shibuya, a place where new cultures and expressions are born daily, aims to create a new space for Japanese and international creators, fans, and collectors to interact.

"GAAAT GALLERY": Connecting Global Creators with Japan

This exhibition will be held at "GAAAT GALLERY," a pop-up gallery operated by GAAAT. GAAAT GALLERY is a project that creates new art experiences through special exhibitions with domestic and international artists and IPs. By operating as a pop-up gallery that changes location and theme depending on the city and project, rather than a permanent gallery, it fosters encounters with a more diverse range of creators and works.

GAAAT will continue to develop gallery projects in various regions, both within Japan and internationally, to connect creators and fans worldwide.

First-Ever Japan Exhibition Realized Through Collaboration with GAF Illustration Art Fair and ArtPage

This exhibition is organized by GAAAT, co-hosted with "GAF Illustration Art Fair," an illustration art festival based in Guangzhou, China, and supported by the global digital art platform "ArtPage."

GAF holds illustration art festivals in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and other cities in China, with its Shanghai GAF in May 2026 attracting over 100,000 visitors in three days. ArtPage has a network of over 5,000 artists from more than 30 countries and has organized or co-organized over 100 international art competitions and exhibitions.

This solo exhibition marks the first initiative to formally introduce Zeen Chin, who has been showcased by GAF and ArtPage in China and Southeast Asia, to the Japanese market.
