Gaiax, a provider of entrepreneurship education programs in collaboration with industry, academia, and government (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuji Ueda; Securities Code: 3775), has been commissioned by the Nagoya City Economic Affairs Bureau to operate its 'Fiscal 2026 Entrepreneurship Education Class Operation Project.'

In this project, in coordination with the Nagoya City Economic Affairs Bureau and the Nagoya City Board of Education, Gaiax will support entrepreneurship education classes for elementary to high school students in Nagoya and conduct seminars for faculty members. This year, the focus will be on helping children not only conceptualize ideas but also to prototype them and deliver them to society.

This marks the third consecutive year that the company has partnered with the Nagoya City Economic Affairs Bureau to implement entrepreneurship education programs.

Background of the Partnership: Nagoya City has been developing entrepreneurship human resources since fiscal 2020 for elementary and junior high school students, and expanded the program to include high school students in fiscal 2021, aiming to foster an environment where entrepreneurs who will lead Nagoya's future can grow.

Since fiscal 2024, Gaiax has partnered with the Nagoya City Economic Affairs Bureau and the Nagoya City Board of Education to provide opportunities for students to learn about entrepreneurship as part of their career education. The number of participating schools has expanded from two junior high schools in fiscal 2024 to five in fiscal 2025, and this year, it has further expanded to 11 schools, ranging from elementary to high school.

Previous initiatives have confirmed that entrepreneurship education allows students to feel that starting a business is an accessible endeavor and broadens their future career options. This year, the program aims to further promote collaboration with local communities, businesses, and entrepreneurs for students to prototype and sell their ideas, while creating a model of practical learning through seminars for faculty.

Project Overview: The project includes the following four key initiatives:

1. Support for Entrepreneurship Classes (Experience-based Learning) Operating entrepreneurship classes based on annual plans for three junior high schools and two high schools, supporting students through the process of creating new value.

2. Support for Entrepreneurship Classes (Lecturer Dispatch/Workshops) Providing lecturer dispatch, workshop support, and teaching materials tailored to the needs of three elementary and three junior high schools.

3. Seminars for Faculty Conducting seminars on the significance of entrepreneurship and lesson planning techniques for faculty and career navigators.

4. Participation in Career Education Programs Exhibiting an entrepreneurship booth at 'Mirai Travel DAY' for elementary students.

Last Fiscal Year's Performance: Last year, the program was conducted for 473 students in five Nagoya junior high schools. Among participants, the percentage interested in entrepreneurship increased from 39.3% to 88.2%, those wanting to start a business in the future rose from 24.2% to 54.8%, and 96.8% expressed satisfaction with the program.
