The Japan Gas Association has joined the 'Frontline First Initiative (FFI),' launched on July 14, 2026, by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) in collaboration with relevant government agencies. The initiative aims to unify industry efforts in securing and nurturing frontline talent and promoting technological adoption.

Additionally, on the same day, Association President Takashi Uchida participated in the panel discussion at the '1st FFI Public-Private Partnership Forum,' where he introduced the urban gas industry's current initiatives.

1. About the Frontline First Initiative (Frontline First Initiative)

*1: The launch of a 'Public-Private Partnership Forum' and the establishment of a 'Portal Site' are planned.

*2: METI will establish 'Thematic Discussion Committees' to support workforce acquisition and development, as well as the adoption of labor-saving technologies. Participating organizations, including our association, are expected to contribute through related needs assessments and surveys.
