[June 11 & 25, 2026 / Free Online Seminar] Legal Revisions in Employment of People with Disabilities and Practical Response Points

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has revised the 'Basic Policy on Employment Measures for Persons with Disabilities' for the period from fiscal 2023 to 2027. In addition to expanding the number of hires, the responsibilities of employers to improve the 'quality of employment' have been clarified based on the 2022 revision of the Act on Promotion of Employment of Persons with Disabilities.

Furthermore, the scope of applicable employers will expand in April 2025 due to the reduction of the exclusion rate, and the statutory employment rate is scheduled to increase in July 2026. Companies are increasingly required to not only increase the number of hires but also to promote the skill development and retention of employees with disabilities.

In this seminar, we will explain the points of practical response in an easy-to-understand manner, from a review of recent legal revisions to measures against turnover that go beyond recruitment.
