giftee, Inc., which operates an e-gift platform business, announced that its 'e-machi platform®,' a digital solution for local government challenges, has been selected for Shizuoka Prefecture's 'FY2025 Digital Regional Currency Utilization Project.' Consequently, the 'Shizu-Tabi Kippu,' a digital excursion ticket combining Suruga Bay Ferry, bus, and rail services, was launched in March 2026. This marks the second adoption of the 'e-machi platform®' in this project, following the introduction of 'Tabisaki Nozei®' and the 'Shizu-Tabi Coin' electronic voucher in five municipalities around the Suruga Bay area in January 2026. Shizuoka Prefecture features well-developed bus and rail networks from Shinkansen stations to major tourist spots, with the Suruga Bay Ferry significantly reducing travel time compared to land routes. To promote regional tourism, the prefecture utilized the 'e-machi gift system' to create the 'Shizu-Tabi Kippu,' which bundles tickets for the ferry, Tokai Bus, and Izuhakone Railway. Users can complete the entire process—purchase, receipt, storage, and usage—via the 'Shizu-Tabi Ticket Portal' using credit card payments. The system employs QR code authentication and 'giftee STAMP' to prevent unauthorized use. giftee remains committed to contributing to regional revitalization and creating new experiences through the expansion of its 'e-machi platform®.'
