TRUSCO NAKAYAMA CORPORATION and Fujitsu Limited have collaborated to accelerate the decision-making process for personnel transfers using Fujitsu's "Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS," an all-in-one operations platform. In about four months, they built an application that proposes personnel transfer plans reflecting TRUSCO's diverse HR systems and managers' criteria, utilizing AI and a mathematical optimization model. The system has been operational since April 2024. Previously, TRUSCO's complex HR policies, aimed at employee growth and organizational optimization, made creating transfer plans a time-consuming task. The new application centralizes scattered HR data and uses a mathematical optimization model to find optimal placements from a vast number of combinations, cutting the proposal creation workload by approximately 98%. An AI chat feature also supports managers by providing qualitative insights, aiding in the final decision. TRUSCO will use this tool to advance strategic HR, while Fujitsu will continue to support data-driven business transformations.
