Gurunavi, Inc. (Tokyo, President: Akio Sugihara) will launch a new feature in its personalized AI-agent restaurant app 'UMAME!' on June 4, 2026. This feature suggests nearby restaurants matching the user's current mood and purpose instantly, saving search time when outdoors. Users select options from 'Who,' 'Mood,' and 'Purpose' to get optimal nearby recommendations. The update features a map-based UI linked to GPS and a 'Collection' feature to save favorites, which helps the AI learn user preferences. Gurunavi's survey of 971 users who searched for restaurants online in the past six months showed that 28.6% felt there was too much information, making selection time-consuming. Since its launch in January 2026, UMAME! has introduced an English version in March. Gurunavi plans to develop features connecting users' AI agents to ease group restaurant planning.
