On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Yuki Avi Schafer (#32) visited Okazaki Yamaka Elementary School.

Schafer delivered a presentation to the students on the theme of 'Dreams.'

He was warmly welcomed by Yamaka Elementary School, with the venue bustling with excitement even before the talk began.

Although the students initially appeared a bit nervous, the atmosphere turned friendly once Yuki Avi Schafer began sharing his personal experiences.

In his presentation, he recounted how he had aimed to be a soccer player in his childhood, his discovery of basketball, and his continued challenges as a professional athlete. He also spoke about his experience in overcoming repeated injuries and his efforts, which went above and beyond. The students listened intently as he conveyed his gratitude toward his family and teammates, and the hard work required to achieve one's dreams.

Following the talk, students participated in a physical education class with Yuki Avi Schafer, featuring free-throw competitions and 5-on-5 games.

During the free-throw competition, each basket triggered loud cheers, with both successful students and their peers celebrating together. It was impressive to see them encourage each other even after misses, creating a warm atmosphere throughout the gymnasium.

In the 5-on-5 match, the students were thrilled by Schafer's dynamic play. The gymnasium erupted in cheers when he executed a powerful dunk, with the children watching him with sparkling eyes. The students also actively communicated with each other, working together to reach the basket.

At the end of the class, every participating student shared a high-five with Yuki Avi Schafer. Voices calling out 'Thank you!' and 'Please come again!' filled the air, marking a time of joyful interaction.

For the students, it was a valuable experience that taught them the importance of continuously challenging themselves toward their dreams while having the opportunity to interact directly with a professional athlete.

Moving forward, Seahorses Mikawa will continue to promote regional revitalization initiatives, valuing 'town development,' 'human development,' and 'team building' through its sustainability project, 'Be With.'
