#17 Shuto Sakihama Ends Activities as a Specially Designated Player

Okinawa Basketball Inc. has announced that #17 Shuto Sakihama will end his activities as a specially designated player. Sakihama requested to leave the Ryukyu Golden Kings to pursue enrollment in a US university, and the team respected his decision. Shuto Sakihama, born May 8, 2005, in Okinawa Prefecture, is a 178cm, 84kg Point Guard (PG). His career includes playing for Fukuoka Daiichi High School (2021-24), Ryukyu Golden Kings U18 (2024), St. Thomas More School (2024-), and as a specially designated player for Ryukyu Golden Kings (2024-26). Both the team and Sakihama expressed gratitude for the support from fans, and he hopes to continue his growth in the United States.
