Goodpatch Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Naofumi Tsuchiya; Securities Code: 7351; hereinafter 'Goodpatch') has launched its 'AI-Driven Design & Development Solution' to support enterprises in AI-powered development.

Tailored to each company's level of AI adoption, organizational structure, and project phase, the solution supports clients from building AI-driven development environments and executing PoCs (Proof of Concept), to product development and in-house implementation. Beyond AI integration consulting or delegated development, Goodpatch ensures that companies retain the environment and know-how to continue AI-driven product development independently after support ends, thereby driving organizational transformation and business outcomes.

Background: Challenges Enterprises Face in the AI Era

The widespread adoption of generative AI tools such as Claude Code and Codex has enabled even non-engineers to develop applications using natural language instructions. As prototyping barriers have significantly lowered and PoC cycles dramatically shortened, there is growing demand for flexible and rapid product development aligned with customer needs.

Recently, major international IT and business media have widely highlighted the so-called 'PoC death valley' or 'pilot purgatory' in AI product development. According to various reports based on surveys by leading U.S. consulting firms and academic institutions, only 10–30% of AI development projects successfully transition to production, while the majority stall or remain shelved at the experimental stage.

Goodpatch identifies three primary challenges that prevent enterprises from achieving business outcomes through AI-powered product development.

First is 'individual skill dependency,' where AI utilization relies on specific individuals and their skills are not shared across the team. Second is 'disruption of adoption,' where prototypes are created but fail to integrate into daily operations or production use, preventing results from taking root in the field. Third is 'disruption of cross-functional collaboration,' where the lack of common languages and tools across roles leads to siloed initiatives across departments.

To address these challenges, Goodpatch leverages its extensive experience as a design partner for diverse companies, having consistently supported clients from business and brand strategy to user experience design, product development, and in-house implementation. By applying its practical knowledge of organizational AI adoption, Goodpatch aims to enhance Japanese companies' competitiveness and deliver better user experiences to society. With this vision, Goodpatch has launched its 'AI-Driven Design & Development Solution.'

About the AI-Driven Design & Development Solution

Goodpatch employs over 250 highly specialized members, including designers, engineers, and strategists, and has accumulated experience supporting approximately 500 companies and over 2,000 projects as a design partner. The newly launched AI-Driven Design & Development Solution combines the insights gained from consistently supporting clients—from business, brand, and product strategy to pleasant user experience design and high-quality product development and in-house implementation—with the company's own practical experience in becoming AI-native.

### Key Features

#### Accompanying Support with In-House Implementation in Mind

This solution supports the in-house implementation of AI-driven development to enhance corporate competitiveness. By providing companies with decision-making frameworks when transitioning from AI environment setup and PoC support to actual product development, Goodpatch walks alongside clients to enable independent judgment and execution.

Furthermore, by establishing stage-appropriate AI-driven development environments within the client's organization and providing self-sufficiency guides, the solution ensures that the capability for in-house development remains within the organization even after support concludes.

#### Driving Business Outcomes with an Integrated Team Combining Business Development, UX Design, and Product Development Expertise

By combining clients' strengths with Goodpatch's expertise, the solution enables transformation not only into an AI-driven development environment but also into a structure that generates long-term results. Goodpatch advances projects by combining human expertise with AI capabilities, simultaneously examining 'why and what to build' from a business perspective and 'how to build it' from a technical perspective rooted in user experience, thereby establishing development frameworks and managing projects with business outcomes in mind.

#### Sharing Practical Insights from Our Own AI-Native Organizational Transformation

Starting March 2026, Goodpatch introduced Claude Code company-wide, enabling even non-engineers with little coding experience to develop applications. In that single month, over 200 applications were created, accumulating nearly 300 practical insights (※).

Currently, Goodpatch actively shares and disseminates knowledge from AI-driven design and development projects internally and externally on a daily basis. Centered on specialized teams and executives responsible for AI-driven business and organizational transformation, the company is proactively implementing various initiatives and establishing systems to transform into a fully AI-native organization. By applying these internal insights to this solution, Goodpatch can provide tailored support that adapts to each client's challenges and the evolving AI technology landscape.

### Plan Overview

The AI-Driven Design & Development Solution offers flexible plans selectable based on business phase, organizational status, duration, and project goals.

In every project, Goodpatch's 'AI EXP (AI Experienced Professional)' participates. The AI EXP leads prompt engineering, agent construction, and MCP environment setup, supporting the integration of AI-driven development into the client's operations. Centered on the AI EXP, an integrated team comprising Product Managers (PdM), UX Designers (Service Designers), and Engineers collaborates with AI agents, combining human expertise with AI processing power to advance projects.

Projects can begin within two weeks, starting with a 30-minute technical assessment.

CEO Statement

To leverage AI not merely as a tool but as a force that drives business, it is essential to design experiences and systems with AI as a given. In an era where even non-engineers and non-designers can create applications, the importance of branding—creating reasons for customers to choose your product among many options—has increased.

Since its founding in 2011, Goodpatch has supported numerous startups creating new value and national clients representing Japan, providing business strategy, UI/UX design, product development, and organizational support. From 2025 onward, we recognized that to best support our clients, we must first embrace AI-driven development across our entire organization, including learning from the challenges we face. We continue to transform ourselves at the forefront of changing times.

By combining the insights and expertise we have cultivated with ever-evolving AI technologies, we will advance the discovery of untapped business opportunities within companies, product development, and support for building self-sustaining environments.
