GovTech Tokyo has released the archive video of the "GovTech Conference" held on Friday, February 6, 2026. Under the theme of "The Future of Medical DX: Transforming Healthcare Through Digital Transformation," the conference brought together representatives from government, medical institutions, and businesses to discuss the current state and future of medical DX, focusing on the use of technology to solve challenges in the medical field.
In the first half, Tadateru Yamada, Director-General of the Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, took the stage to introduce the three pillars of medical DX in Tokyo and the initiatives the metropolitan government will promote in fiscal year 2026. Following this, Masami Sakoi, Chief Medical and Global Health Officer at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, gave a presentation on the national government's medical DX policies. In the second half, a panel discussion was held on the theme of "The Future of Medical DX," featuring diverse perspectives from government, medical institutions, businesses, and patients regarding the transformation of the medical field through DX. The discussion covered the importance of DX in medical institutions, challenges faced on the front lines, the use of technology to improve patient satisfaction, and the possibilities that lie ahead. About the GovTech Conference GovTech Tokyo is an organization established outside the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 2023 to serve as a new platform for effectively promoting DX across all of Tokyo, including the metropolitan government and its municipalities.
