Hip-hop artist DOUBLE UP, affiliated with BUZZ FACTORY Co., Ltd. (Location: Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ken Watanabe), released their 2nd album, 'THE NEW SOUTH', on March 25, 2026. After gaining attention with their 1st album 'NEW SOUTH' released last February, DOUBLE UP made their first appearance at one of Japan's leading hip-hop festivals, 'AH1', in August. Following a year of live performances across the country, they powered through 2025. On February 19th of this year, they held a free solo concert at Kawasaki CLUB CITTA', creating an electrifying night for approximately 600 attendees. This new work, 'THE NEW SOUTH', serves as a new declaration from Kawasaki to the world, further accelerating their momentum. On February 19, 2026, DOUBLE UP held a free solo concert at Kawasaki CLUB CITTA'. This date marks the same day that *BAD HOP held their farewell concert two years ago. Inheriting the tradition of free concerts at CLUB CITTA' established by BAD HOP and Candee & Deech in Kawasaki, the day was filled with excitement alongside approximately 600 attendees. The event featured many local Kawasaki rappers, including guest artists from the new album such as Deech, NOV, and Merry Delo. It served as a stage to prove their resolve and ability as the "rappers who will carry the next generation of Kawasaki." *BAD HOP was an 8-member hip-hop crew based in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
