'Natsugatari '26' Announced

KADOKAWA Corporation, on its web novel site 'Kakuyomu' developed in partnership with Hatena Co., Ltd., will host 'Natsugatari '26,' a creative festival featuring seven contests, from July 1, 2026, to September 8, 2026.

This is the second annual event following last summer's successful 'Natsugatari '25,' which garnered over 20,000 entries across novels and tanka. This year's festival expands to seven contests, adding categories such as manga scripts, a 'share-world' project where participants build a world together, and a reader-participation 'review contest.'

To encourage first-time submissions and entry into new genres, beginner-friendly categories have been established for each contest.
