KADOKAWA Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Director, Representative Executive Officer, President & CEO: Takeshi Konno) will begin distributing e-book versions of all 14 of Fuyumi Ono's series published by KADOKAWA, along with one combined edition, starting Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
The 'Ghost Hunt' series is a seminal school horror work often regarded as Fuyumi Ono's origin point, having gained popularity through anime adaptations and comic versions. From 2010, the series was completely revised and released as seven hardcover volumes. It was later published in the Kadokawa Bunko paperback format.
The 'Karyuaya Kaitan' series includes three bunko volumes and a hardcover titled 'Itsushi,' and is currently serialized in 'Kai to Yu,' an entertainment magazine for ghost enthusiasts.
In addition to these popular series, KADOKAWA will release 14 titles in total as e-books, including the ghost story collection 'Hyakumonogatari: Kitan Hyakkei' depicting subtle darkness in everyday life, the early horror masterpiece and pioneer of 'house horror' 'Home, Green Home,' and the poignant yet terrifying 'Seventeen Springs Past,' along with a combined edition of all seven volumes of the 'Ghost Hunt' series.

Author Biography
Fuyumi Ono (born December 24 in Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture)
Member of the Kyoto University Mystery Fiction Research Society, where she studied novel writing. Made her debut as an author in 1988. Gained popularity with the 'Evil Spirits' series. Following 'Child of Darkness' (1991), she published 'Shadow of the Moon, Sea of Shadows' in 1992, launching the 'Twelve Kingdoms' series. Works written in parallel with 'Twelve Kingdoms,' including 'Tokyo Oddities,' 'Shiki,' and 'Black Shrine Island,' received high acclaim as legend, horror, and mystery genres respectively.
The 'Evil Spirits' series was extensively rewritten and published as 'Ghost Hunt' in hardcover between 2010–2011 (all seven volumes later released in bunko format in 2021). In 2012, she published two interconnected works: 'Hyakumonogatari: Kitan Hyakkei' and 'Zankai.' 'Zankai' won the 26th Yamamoto Shichihei Prize in 2013. In 2019, 'Hakugin no Kyo, Gen no Tsuki: Twelve Kingdoms' (4 volumes) was published to great acclaim. In 2020, the 'Twelve Kingdoms' series received the 5th Yoshikawa Eiji Bunko Award.
