The Gangala Valley Cave Cafe offers a natural limestone cave environment that brings the stage and audience close together for a unified experience. The 17th performance of 'Mabuioto,' produced by accordionist coba, will be held at Gangala Valley, operated by Nanto Corp., which celebrates its 55th anniversary this year. Tatsuya Ishii has been confirmed as the special guest. Set in an ancient cave where the world's oldest fishing hook (approx. 23,000 years ago) was discovered, this two-day music experience is limited to just 350 people each day.
Tatsuya Ishii and Okinawa, a 36-year story
Ishii's connection with Okinawa traces back to the 1990 Kome Kome CLUB hit 'Roman Hikou,' used as a JAL Okinawa travel campaign CM song. This is his first appearance at Mabuioto in seven years since 2019. Ishii, who has deep ties to Okinawa through activities like supporting the reconstruction of Shurijo Castle, will once again resonate his singing voice in the cave.
Cave acoustics created by elite musicians
Elite musicians active domestically and internationally will bring out the unique acoustic space created by the natural limestone cave.
