Hachiban Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, President: Masanori Nagamaru), loved as Hokuriku's soul food "8 Ramen" for 59 years, with 113 stores domestically and 180 franchised stores overseas in Thailand and Vietnam, will launch the summer-limited "Sinful Series" on July 8.
The target stores are the three prototype stores for Kanazawa Shoyu Tonkotsu 8 Ramen: Acros Plaza Kojima Store, the first store Himeji Ichikawabashi-dori Store, and the second store Aeon Town Konan Store.
This directly addresses the many requests from men in their 20s and 30s saying, "I want to eat something more substantial."
We will deliver even more satisfying ramen with two limited-time products designed for addiction, making you feel "This sinfulness is irresistible" from the first bite.
Sinful Spicy Mazesoba (Tax Included: 1,200 yen)
One bite is all it takes. This is a bowl packed with the passion of Kanazawa Shoyu Tonkotsu 8 Ramen, drawing you into a vortex of irresistible spicy flavor.
The star of the show is our homemade mayonnaise, "Garimayo," made by mixing special soy sauce tare with garlic. The aroma and spiciness of the coarse-ground fresh chili paste, combined with the sweet (umakuchi) tare and garimayo, coat the noodles, increasing the addictive spicy flavor with every bite. First, mix everything well. Once the spicy sauce coats every strand of noodle, you won't be able to stop. After eating about half, add a splash of the table vinegar for a moderate acidity that further enhances the addiction.
Sinful Extra Pork Fat Fried Gyoza (Tax Included: 460 yen)
Kanazawa Shoyu Tonkotsu 8 Ramen's special, carefully selected pork back fat. The moment it's generously poured over freshly fried, piping hot gyoza, the aroma and richness explode.
The key is the contrast of "rich x light." The rich umami of the pork back fat is in perfect balance with the crispiness of the bean sprouts, creating an addictive flavor that makes it impossible to stop eating with each bite.
Adding the garlic served on the side takes the impact to another level. This side dish is designed for those who want a hearty meal, doubling the satisfaction when paired with ramen.
Background of Development
Kanazawa Shoyu Tonkotsu 8 Ramen, as a "hearty ramen for families to enjoy," will make its first foray into the Kansai region in 2025. However, post-opening surveys revealed many honest requests from the core target audience saying, "I want to eat something more substantial."
To respond to these voices, we developed the "Sinful Series," which emphasizes garlic, spiciness, garimayo, and pork back fat, offering high satisfaction and addiction with every bite.
Characteristics like "light" and "mild" serve as an accessible entry point for those trying hearty ramen for the first time. However, this also presented a challenge in target design, as it could leave the core target audience, accustomed to hearty meals, feeling unsatisfied.
The "Sinful Series" is a serious product with a narrowed focus, directly addressing this challenge. We aimed to create a dish that would make customers seeking hearty meals, who usually find our regular ramen unsatisfying, feel "This is it, this is what I've been looking for."

Kanazawa Shoyu Tonkotsu 8 Ramen's "Three Commitments"
1 Extra-Thick Noodles | 100% Hokkaido Wheat Used, Pursuing Satisfying Texture
Pursuing compatibility with the soup, these extra-thick noodles, which are thicker and have more body compared to the noodles used in "8 Ramen" traditionally, achieve a robust texture that provides a sense of satisfaction with every bite.
2 Kanazawa Tradition "Ono Shoyu" | A Unique Flavor Born from 400 Years of History
Kanazawa Ono is one of the five major soy sauce producing regions. Ono Shoyu, with its 400-year tradition, is characterized by its mellow sweetness and deep umami, nurtured by the pure water from Mt. Hakusan and the humid climate. This "sweet (umakuchi)" soy sauce, which pairs well with Kaga cuisine, harmonizes exquisitely with the tonkotsu soup.
