Union Eternity Co., Ltd. conducted a survey on 'troubles during rainy days and the rainy season' targeting 100 regular drivers.

The rainy season is a time when driving stress increases due to poor visibility caused by rain, humidity inside the car, and getting wet from umbrellas or luggage. In this survey, 'foggy windows' emerged as the most common concern, cited by 32% of respondents.

Additionally, 'water-repellent coating products' were the most popular item drivers want to prepare before the rainy season. Among the items purchased and used during the rainy season, 'water-repellent sprays and glass coating agents' topped the list at 42%, indicating high interest in visibility measures for rainy days.

### 'Foggy Windows' Top the List of Rainy Season Car Troubles When asked about specific car-related worries during the rainy season, 'foggy windows' was the most common at 32%. This was followed by 'water droplets on glass and mirrors' at 27% and 'car interior getting wet from umbrellas or luggage' at 19%.

Both 'foggy windows' and 'water droplets on glass and mirrors' are visibility-related issues. Combined, they account for 59%, indicating that 'lack of clarity,' which impacts both comfort and safety, is a major challenge for drivers during the rainy season.

### Gender Differences: Women Concerned About Droplets/Moisture, Men About Fog By gender, women cited 'water droplets on glass and mirrors' as their top concern at 30.9%, followed by 'car interior getting wet' and 'foggy windows' at 25.5% each.

Women appear to feel inconvenienced not only by poor visibility but also by the wetness inside the car from umbrellas and luggage.

On the other hand, 'foggy windows' was the primary concern for men at 38.6%. Men also showed a higher usage rate for anti-fog products compared to women, suggesting a stronger interest in ensuring visibility on rainy days.

### 83% of Drivers Have Experience With or Interest in Water-Repellent/Glass Coatings When asked about the application status of water-repellent/glass coatings, 32% had applied them in the past, 23% apply them regularly, and 5% apply them only before the rainy season.

This means 60% of respondents have experience with the application.

Furthermore, 23% of those who have never applied it expressed interest. Combining those with experience and those interested, the total reaches 83%, demonstrating a high level of interest in water-repellent/glass coatings as a solution to rainy season car troubles.

### 'Water-Repellent Sprays and Glass Coating Agents' Are the Most Used Items When asked what car goods they purchase and use during the rainy season, 'water-repellent sprays and glass coating agents' were the most popular at 42%.

This was followed by 'towels/absorbent cloths' (32%), 'wipers' (31%), 'car deodorizers' (24%), and 'anti-fog products' (24%).

While visibility-focused items like coating agents, wipers, and anti-fog products are used, there is also consistent demand for moisture and wetness management items like absorbent cloths and deodorizers.

### Higher Interest in Visibility Solutions Among Those with Visibility Concerns Fifty-nine people identified 'foggy windows' or 'water droplets on glass and mirrors' as their concerns.

Among them, 40 individuals (67.8%) were already using visibility-enhancing goods like coating agents, wipers, or anti-fog products.

Additionally, 42 of the 59 people with visibility issues (71.2%) stated they wanted to prepare items like coating agents, new wipers, or dehumidifiers before the rainy season.

Furthermore, 86.4% of those with visibility concerns either had experience with or were interested in water-repellent/glass coatings.

These results suggest that those troubled by 'poor visibility' are more inclined to be interested in visibility-enhancing items such as water repellents, glass coating agents, and anti-fog products.

### Recommended Car Goods for Rainy Season Visibility Based on these findings, Union Eternity Co., Ltd. is proposing visibility-enhancing items, such as water repellents, glass coating agents, and anti-fog products, as recommended car goods to resolve rainy season troubles.
