Hakuichi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture; President: Tatsuya Asano) has provided technical support for the new 'Craft Beyond Borders' collection by the Belgian luxury leather goods maison, Delvaux, by applying gold leaf—a reflection of the aesthetic sense rooted in Japanese craft culture—to leather goods.

Delvaux, founded in 1829, is a representative Belgian brand. Known as the world's oldest luxury leather goods maison, it has long been cherished as a supplier to the Belgian Royal Court for its exceptional craftsmanship and structured, beautiful designs.

The 'Craft Beyond Borders' collection was created as an exploration of new expressions through Delvaux's dialogue with crafts and artisan skills from around the world. Delvaux positions this collection as a creative challenge to elevate traditional techniques into new forms of expression.

Japan, the market with the longest history for Delvaux, was chosen as the stage for the first chapter of this collection.

Inspired by the long history of gold leaf culture in Kanazawa, and resonating strongly with the delicacy, accuracy, and the discipline and precision required to handle gold leaf, these works were born.

In this collection, Kanazawa gold leaf adds a delicate sparkle to Delvaux's iconic bags.

Gold leaf designs are applied to the joints of different leathers, merging with Delvaux's signature structured silhouettes to create a collection that exudes a unique presence where craft and art intersect.

Since its founding in 1975, Hakuichi has expanded the possibilities of gold leaf into areas such as crafts, architectural decoration, and art, while preserving the techniques of Kanazawa gold leaf. In recent years, through initiatives such as kintsugi support following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, the company has also been engaged in promoting the value of Japanese craft culture, which emphasizes 'repairing and passing on.'

Hakuichi participates in this project through the gold leaf techniques and aesthetic sense it has cultivated over many years.

A selection from this collection will be open to the public for exhibition and sale from June 4 (Thursday) to June 17 (Wednesday), 2026, at Wako Ginza, Arts and Culture (B1F). During this period, demonstrations by Belgian leather craftsmen and Kanazawa craftsmen showcasing their craftsmanship are also scheduled.
