Japan Hallmark Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo) will launch a range of New Year-related products on Monday, September 7, 2026.

《Nenga-jimai Sticker》

The 'Nenga-jimai Sticker,' first released last year and widely covered by media, is now upgraded! Retaining its polite, user-friendly wording and casual, cute design, the company has developed both vertical and horizontal versions to match different postcard layouts.

《Nenga Pochibukuro (New Year's Greeting Pouch)》

New designs include a pop-up type featuring characters that jump out, and a 'plump' type using EVA material for a fresh tactile experience. The pop-up type leverages Hallmark’s expertise as a greeting card manufacturer to deliver the joy of opening, even in a compact size.

The 'Nenga-jimai Sticker,' which allows users to easily convey they are retiring from sending New Year’s cards, has been enhanced for the 2026 release.

To accommodate the core users of New Year’s cards—those aged 40 and above—the company adopted the Japanese Universal Design font 'UD Digital Textbook,' known for its clear character shapes and excellent readability. This ensures messages are conveyed clearly even in small spaces.

In addition to 'owls' depicted resting or perched on trees, the horizontal version of the increasingly popular 'Shima-enaga' (long-tailed tit) joins the lineup. Two new designs, 'Shima-enaga Gathering,' showing the cute birds huddled together, are also introduced.

Nenga Pochibukuro (New Year's Greeting Pouch)

New styles include a pop-up type with jumping characters and a 'plump' type with EVA material attachments for a fresh, tactile experience. The pop-up type emphasizes the 'joy of opening' even in small sizes, with a surprise character mechanism. The plump type offers enjoyable three-dimensional texture.

The pop-up type features Snoopy and 'PAW Patrol,' added in March 2026. The plump type features Disney and Snoopy designs.
