The Halmek Ikikata-Jozu Institute, which provides marketing and research consulting services for the top-selling magazine 'Halmek', has conducted a dietary consciousness survey among 1,400 people aged 20-89 nationwide.

Key Survey Findings: ■ Factors in Food Selection: While 'price and cost-performance' are top priorities overall, factors such as 'good taste', 'domestic origin', 'nutritional balance', and 'safety' become more important with age. ■ Health Awareness: A shift from 'valuing taste' to 'valuing own health' occurs between the 60s and 70s. Women in their 80s had the highest perception of being healthy. ■ Nutrition and Concerns: Awareness of frailty prevention through intake of 'protein', 'dietary fiber', and 'calcium' increases with age. While women in their 80s face concerns about declining chewing and swallowing abilities, concerns about weight gain have decreased.

This survey captures changes in eating habits due to inflation and provides guidelines for senior marketing.
