Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukushima-ku, Osaka; President: Yusuke Kusuhara) has received a paid transfer of two hinoki wood pillars from the 'Great Roof Ring,' the symbol of the Osaka-Kansai Expo venue, through the 'Future Society Showcase Program / Green Expo Reuse Matching Project "Myakuichi!" Great Roof Ring "Wood" Reuse Public Offering January 15, 2026' conducted by the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.
Our company will regenerate and utilize this precious timber as benches for the new station buildings of Tempo Station and Fuk Station on the Hanshin Namba Line, which are currently under renovation.
By incorporating the Expo's legacy into everyday public spaces, we aim to contribute to the realization of a circular economy and create a warm station environment.

Background and Objectives of the Initiative (1) Inheritance of Expo Legacy Part of the 'Great Roof Ring,' recognized globally as the 'largest wooden structure,' will be brought back to Tempo Station in Konohana Ward, the venue area, and Fuk Station in neighboring Nishiyodogawa Ward, and utilized as a regional asset. (2) Practice of Circular Economy Inheriting the Expo's philosophy of 'Designing a vibrant future society,' we present an attitude of continuously using resources by transforming their value without discarding them.

Utilization Location and Overview (1) Installation Locations Hanshin Namba Line Tempo Station and Fuk Station (At both stations, within the concourse inside the ticket gates after transitioning to new station buildings associated with the Hanshin Namba Line Yodogawa Bridge Reconstruction Project) Locations Tempo Station: 3-14 Denpo, Konohana-ku, Osaka City Fuk Station: 2-3 Fukumachi, Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka City (2) Utilization Details Processing the pillars (hinoki wood) of the Great Roof Ring and installing them as station waiting benches. (3) Harmony with New Station Buildings Integrating the natural texture of hinoki wood with the concept of 'harmony with the town and nature' for Tempo Station and Fuk Station.
