1. Men's #1 Deciding Factor for Dating: "Comfortable to Be With" - 45 people

When 100 adult men who have experienced finding a partner through a matching app were asked, "What was the biggest reason you decided to date a woman you met on an app?", "Comfortable to be with" was the most common answer with 45 people.

Following that were "Chemistry and flow of conversation match" with 27 people, and "Physical appearance is attractive" with 25 people.

[Breakdown (Number of people)]

● Comfortable to be with: 45 people

● Chemistry and flow of conversation match: 27 people

● Physical appearance is attractive: 25 people

● Seriousness about marriage and similar values: 3 people

The results show that many men prioritize not only appearance and enjoyable conversation, but also "whether the partner is someone they can be themselves with without forcing it."

2. #1 Point Sought in a Dating Partner: "Comfortable Atmosphere" - 70 people

Next, when asked, "What points do you prioritize when choosing a dating partner?", "Comfortable atmosphere" was the most common answer with 70 people.

Following that were "Feeling their affection for me" with 43 people, "Compatibility in contact frequency" with 35 people, and "Matching financial sense" with 35 people.

[Breakdown (Number of people)]

● Comfortable atmosphere: 70 people

● Feeling their affection for me: 43 people

● Compatibility in contact frequency: 35 people

● Matching financial sense: 35 people

● Matching food preferences: 31 people

● Understanding of their work: 20 people

The results indicate a tendency for men to prioritize "comfort in daily life spent together" over "romantic excitement."

Additionally, over 40% of men prioritize "feeling their affection for me," suggesting that receiving affection from a partner can be a catalyst for starting a relationship.

3. Men Most Often Decide to Date by the "3rd Date"

Next, when asked, "By which date do you decide to 'start dating'?", "3rd date" was the most common answer with 43 people.

Following that were "2nd date" with 34 people, "1st date" with 12 people, and "4th date or later" with 11 people.

[Breakdown (Number of people)]

● 1st date: 12 people

● 2nd date: 34 people

● 3rd date: 43 people

● 4th date or later: 11 people

The results show that men tend to assess compatibility and values over several dates before deciding to start a relationship.

The third date, in particular, seems to be a "turning point for deciding to date" as it allows for a certain understanding of each other's personalities and distance.

4. #1 Moment That Kills the Mood During a Date: "Constantly Using Their Smartphone" - 61 people

Next, when asked, "What moments during a date make you lose interest ('this person won't work out')?", "Constantly using their smartphone" was the most common answer with 61 people.

"Attitude of expecting to be treated" with 51 people, and "Actual appearance is too different from photos" with 51 people also had high percentages.

[Breakdown (Number of people)]

● Constantly using their smartphone: 61 people

● Attitude of expecting to be treated: 51 people

● Actual appearance is too different from photos: 51 people

● Bad attitude towards staff: 46 people

● Lack of cleanliness: 41 people

● Too passive, conversation doesn't pick up: 19 people

● Other (Bad language): 1 person

The results indicate that men are particularly prone to losing interest due to "lack of consideration for the other person" and "actions that feel insincere."

Survey Results Summary

This survey revealed the following trends:

● Men's #1 deciding factor for dating is "Comfortable to be with."

● "Comfortable atmosphere" is most prioritized in a dating partner.

● The "3rd date" is when most men decide to start dating.

● The most mood-killing behavior during a date is "Constantly using their smartphone."

● Behaviors that feel like "lack of consideration" or "insincerity" are likely to lead to being dismissed as a romantic partner.

It was found that to develop a relationship from a matching app, not only appearance and conversation flow, but also "whether one can feel at ease with the other person" is highly valued.

Furthermore, attitudes and consideration during dates are also closely observed, and a respectful attitude towards the other person appears to significantly influence the continuation of a romantic relationship.
