Haseko Group (representative company: Haseko Corporation, headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Satoshi Kumano) has developed the 'Famire Kitchen' (hereinafter 'this kitchen,' design registered), a kitchen designed to encourage communication among family members. This kitchen will be first introduced in the 'Shinagawa East Shinagawa 1-chome Project' (tentative name), currently under planning by Sogo Jutaku Co., Ltd. and others, and Haseko Corporation plans to actively propose its adoption in new condominiums and rental apartments it designs and constructs.

Kitchens occupy a significant portion of household chores, yet storage has traditionally been limited to specific appliances such as microwaves and toaster ovens. As a result, residents have faced challenges in finding storage for the increasingly diverse range of modern cooking appliances. Additionally, through quantitative surveys※1 on household appliance ownership and living habits, as well as group interviews※2, it became clear that there were issues with workflow organization when families cooperated in cooking and other tasks.

For this development, under the supervision of a storage advisor※3 and incorporating feedback from home care staff※4, the team repeatedly tested, evaluated, and improved the design, evolving it into a space where families naturally gather—not just for cooking. The kitchen was developed with careful consideration of workflow for family collaboration, storage for cooking appliances and food supplies, and fostering communication among family members in the kitchen area.

Haseko Group will continue to sincerely listen to each customer's voice, identify the core issues of living, and aim to develop products that solve everyday challenges.

[Key Features of This Kitchen]

The L-shaped layout balances ease of movement and workability. Even with two people in the kitchen, it feels spacious, allowing smooth passing and simultaneous tasks. The design aims to create a comfortable space where family members can naturally interact.

Mitené Box

A temporary storage spot for items that need immediate attention, such as mail or children's homework. Picture books can also be placed here, making it easy to naturally share information and presence among family members. This storage subtly supports daily interactions.

Multi-Space

A multi-purpose storage area that neatly stores appliances like rice cookers and electric cooking pots—items you don’t want to leave out on the counter. Responding to modern lifestyles with more cooking appliances, this is a new storage concept that considers frequency of use and convenience. Additionally, by extending the flooring in part, it can also serve as a trash bin space.

Double-Sided Open Storage

Convenient open storage accessible from both the kitchen and dining sides. It’s easy to place items used by everyone, such as supplements and remote controls, making them naturally within reach during daily life. The bottom section allows neat organization of documents and books used for living room study or telework.

Dining-Side Storage

A storage space accessible from the dining side, allowing you to neatly hide away items you need. It helps organize items often difficult to store, such as hot plates, printers, printing paper, documents to keep, batteries, and tools. A convenient feature useful for studying or working at the dining table.

Tall Cabinet

A tall cabinet that ensures ample storage while allowing convenient organization of vacuum cleaners, trash bins, and daily necessities. Designed with adjustable shelves, it enables storage tailored to lifestyle needs. With a height of approximately 2.2 meters and all shelves adjustable, it can be finely tuned to the user’s height and stored items. The bottom section extends the flooring, allowing use as a trash bin space. It’s also convenient for storing heavy items like water, efficiently supporting daily household tasks.
