Heiwa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kiyoyuki Tsuchimoto; hereinafter "the Company") is pleased to announce that SAPPORO ONE, the mixed-use building being developed under the Odorinishi 4-Minami District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project in central Sapporo (hereinafter "the Project"), has achieved the highest 'S Rank' rating in the CASBEE Building (New Construction) assessment.

As part of its mid-term management plan 'WAY 2040 Stage 1,' the Company is advancing its growth strategy of 'promoting sustainable urban development.' For this project, the Company prioritized both 'environmental quality'—through landscaping of exterior spaces and outdoor terraces, and maintaining critical equipment functions during disasters—and 'reduction of environmental load' by emphasizing efficient energy use, utilization of rainwater and drainage for water conservation, and the use of recycled materials. These efforts have led to the achievement of the highest possible rating, 'S Rank,' under CASBEE, a widely adopted system in Japan for evaluating and rating building environmental performance.

The Company will continue to strengthen its sustainability-driven management practices to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

About CASBEE (Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency)

CASBEE is a comprehensive evaluation method for building environmental performance, operated by the nonprofit foundation 'Housing and Building SDGs Promotion Center.' It assesses the Building Environmental Efficiency (BEE) value by considering two aspects: the building's environmental quality (Q) and its environmental load on the outside (L). CASBEE is widely used across Japan. It evaluates buildings holistically, including energy efficiency, use of low-impact materials, indoor comfort, and landscape integration, and assigns one of five ratings: S, A, B+, B-, or C.
