The 'Regional Revitalization Koshien Executive Committee,' formed by Hankyu Hanshin Properties, the Development Bank of Japan, and The Nikkei Osaka Head Office, will host the international forum program 'Regional Revitalization Koshien 2026,' aligned with the government's 'Regional Future Strategy.'
The program aims to bring together stakeholders under the banner of 'Koshien' to share advanced regional revitalization initiatives and disseminate successful outcomes nationwide. Last year, in its inaugural edition, the committee invited 'Main Street America (hereinafter 'MSA'),' a U.S.-based downtown revitalization support organization, facilitating active discussions on regional revitalization methods and case studies between Japanese and American organizations.
※ MSA is a nonprofit organization established in 1949 with approval from the U.S. Congress, dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of historic buildings and districts.
Building sustainable economic foundations is crucial for long-term regional growth. This year's forum, themed 'Regions That Generate Income / Co-Creating Prosperity with Regions,' will deepen discussions on co-created projects involving regions, businesses, and financial mechanisms, aiming for horizontal expansion. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to establish itself as a sustainable platform for regional revitalization.
